FBC ICD - Institute for Christian Discipleship

The Institute for Christian Discipleship (ICD), our church wide Bible study, is another avenue for Christian Education.  The core functions of ICD are to assist members with their spiritual growth and to provide members with educational excellence and economic empowerment through the classes offered.

ICD meets on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings and has classes for pre-kindergarten through adult age.

ICD operates quarterly, with classes beginning in September  -  November; January - March; and April - June. Summer Renewal, which is a part of ICD, is scheduled during the month of July.  In addition ICD may offer limited special summer courses during the month of July.  Classes are not held during the months of December and August. Each quarter runs approximately ten weeks.

A variety of courses are offered each quarter in the core areas of Biblical studies, theology and church history. Courses in areas of special interest also are offered, namely: pastoral care, spiritual disciplines, women's studies, leadership training, institutional ministry, bereavement, etc.

ICD is working with the Online Ministry to expand the Institute's reach to include courses taught through the use of webinars, and online inactive and streamed live classes.

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." [2 Timothy 2:15 NKJV]
