At its core, First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens aims to help disciples of Jesus Christ to live in their divinity. Video is a significant tactic in achieving this vision. Whether it is producing feature segments that illustrate personal testimonies or event recaps that demonstrate the church’s tangible acts of service, video is a significant component of FBCLG’s communications strategy to inspire, inform, and motivate others to be who God created them.
Position Title: Video Producer/Editor
Classification: Part-Time
Reports to: Director of Communications
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Plans, directs, shoots and produces weekly video content for weekend services, ministries and special events.
- Consistently produces video content that aligns with and advances FBCLG’s vision and communicates the value of its ministry to its members, the community, and the world.
- Fully engages in regularly scheduled creative brainstorming sessions and planning meetings.
- Manages a robust video production content calendar and maintains a well-organized video archive.
- Understands the difference between various types of video formats (e.g., PSAs, long form features, documentaries, etc.) and produces and edits them accordingly.
- Ensures that all video content maintains FBCLG’s brand standards.
- Produces content for TV Program (Greets, wraps, CTA’s, commercial)
- Encodes audio and video and update online media center, and social media platforms, and predetermined websites weekly/monthly.
- Recruit, train, and mentor video team volunteers.
- Stays abreast of current and emerging trends in video production and story-telling.
- Assess current and future technology needs and create acquisition strategies.
Requirements:
Knowledge
- Degree in film or media-related field or at least 2-4 years of experience in video production, including directing, shooting, producing, and editing.
- Technical knowledge of all aspects of video editing, including importing content, working with a variety of compression formats and basic audio mixing.
- Proficient in Final Cut Pro and Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator and Audition. Skills on additional platforms are a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of video switching systems, DSLR, ENG and cinema cameras.
- Must have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in video production, graphic design and storytelling.
Skills
- Experience and training in studio and field production including lighting, audio and camera work.
- Experience and training in post-production work including non-linear editing, compositing, and motion graphic design.
- Possesses a proven track record in implementing video projects from beginning to end (concept to production to final edit).
- Must be able to develop, plan and storyboard video shoots including scheduling the talent.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; script development and voiceover work may be required.

Working Conditions:
Work schedule often includes quick deadlines and multiple high-priority assignments. Must be available to work nights and weekends, and on call. Requires an ability to walk, stand, and sit for long periods of time.
