On Sunday, October 20th, 2024, First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens held a meaningful balloon release to honor all cancer survivors and loved ones lost during their annual Pink Sunday worship service. Eight hundred balloons were distributed and released in the sanctuary, each symbolizing a message of hope, solidarity, and remembrance for those touched by cancer.
Additionally, over 400 pink flags were collected and arranged outside the church along Route 27 throughout the month. This display served as a powerful tribute to honor loved ones who had bravely battled cancer, creating a poignant visual reminder of their courage and strength.
Pastor Quick and First Baptist remain dedicated to raising awareness about all types of cancer, supporting patients and survivors, and advocating for research and early detection. Our mission is centered on providing hope, encouragement, and resources to those impacted by cancer. The church recognized that cancer does not discriminate by age, sex, or race, affecting the lives of countless individuals and their families.
