Somerset, NJ — Pastor Dante Quick, Ph.D., of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens (FBCLG), has been elected to the Board of Directors for the American Baptist Home Mission Society (ABHMS). The election, held on Wednesday, November 13, was announced by Board President Dr. Jamie Washam and Executive Director Dr. Jeffrey Haggray, who expressed their excitement in welcoming Pastor Quick to the board, stating, “We are truly thankful God has brought you to our organization for such a time as this. Praise be to God.” Pastor Quick’s first term will span three years as a member of the Class of 2027.
The American Baptist Home Mission Society, a national ministry of the American Baptist Churches USA, has served communities nationwide for over 200 years. ABHMS provides resources and support for churches, pastors, and communities in areas of spiritual care, social justice, and community development. Its work includes supporting the needs of immigrants, providing disaster response, and promoting racial and economic justice.
As a newly elected board member, Pastor Quick is deeply committed to social justice, community outreach, and faith-based leadership. His role will support ABHMS’s mission to empower individuals and communities through faith and service. Pastor Quick’s background aligns with ABHMS’s mission to strengthen local churches and develop initiatives that bring hope and transformation to communities.
