ADULT COURSES

Our Adult Class, Hearing the Light: Faith, Soul & All that Jazz, will be taught by author, public theologian and professor, Rev. Dr. Raymond Carr. This course explores theology born of struggle, showing how our deepest thoughts and beliefs emerge from what we wrestle with. Each session begins with a musical prompt—drawing from artists like Marvin Gaye, Kanye West, and Drake—to reflect on how God speaks through culture, sound, and broken vessels. From Gaye’s Piece of Clay to Kanye’s Jesus Walks to Drake’s God’s Plan, we’ll examine how God shapes us, how messages transcend their messengers, and how faith often finds its voice in unexpected places. Adult classes will be offered both in-person and virtually.
